About the Portuguese cut
A Portuguese cut has around 161 facets, nearly three times a brilliant cut's 58. More surfaces catch more light and throw it back — many small flashes instead of a few big ones, and far more of them break into colour.
Who it's for
This is an engagement ring if you want it to be one. It is also, just as much, a ring to buy for yourself — a diamond this size does not need an occasion.
Made your way
If you would like flush-set diamonds along the band, a different cut or size of centre stone, or a different metal, please get in touch or fill the customisation form. Every Glypto is carved by hand, so changes are part of the process rather than an exception to it.
Each Glypto Solitaire is made to order according to your size, so please allow 2–4 weeks for production, in addition to the delivery lead time. If you are in a rush to receive your ring, please get in touch.
Hand carved, designed and made by Yasmin Nabulsi in Las Vegas, USA.

The Glypto Solitaire is hand carved from wax, starting by shaping the half-round band and then creating the hammered effect by hand using a bur. The seat for the centre stone is carved by hand too, cut to fit that one diamond. The model is cast in recycled metal, the diamond is bezel set by hand, and the ring is finished to a satin matte.
Like every Glypto, the band is carved and hammered one at a time. Its width is not held to a single measurement — it moves as it travels around the finger, and the hammer marks land where the hand puts them. That is the difference between a carved band and a machined one, and it is why no two are alike.
Solid gold — gold is a soft metal, so small marks appear over time. Clean with warm water and a little mild soap, then dry with a soft cloth.
Gemstones — avoid chemicals and knocks. Store pieces separately so they don't scratch each other, and have settings checked once a year.
