About the Portuguese cut
A Portuguese cut has around 161 facets, nearly three times a brilliant cut's 58. More surfaces catch more light and send it back — so instead of a few big white flashes you get many smaller ones, and far more of them break into fire: the flecks of red, green and blue that move inside the stone.
18k is ready to ship. 14k is made to order — please allow 2–3 weeks for production, in addition to the delivery lead time. If you are in a rush, please get in touch.

The Glypto Studs are carved entirely by hand in wax — the setting, the hammered surface and the post. The wax models are cast in recycled metal, the diamonds are set by hand, and each stud is finished to a satin matte finish.
Solid gold — gold is a soft metal, so small marks appear over time. Clean with warm water and a little mild soap, then dry with a soft cloth.
Gemstones — avoid chemicals and knocks. Store pieces separately so they don't scratch each other, and have settings checked once a year.
